my dad got a vius and he cant ru any anti virus programs and internet explorer isnt working. Please advise on what to do

u will need to run the pc in safe mode and then virus detectors should work. you press f12 at startup and choose safe mode.

If F12 doesn't work then use F8 and select safe mode with networking and then download,update,and a full scan using this Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware, anti-virus and spyware removal download and remove anything infected

Please boot into Safe Mode With Networking

Steps:

• Resart Computer
• Upon Bootup RAPIDLY tap F8
• Select "Safe Mode With Networking"

Step 1:
Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Steps To Perform:

• Download/Install
• Select "Check For Updates"
• Perform a Full Scan
• Select all Drivers

If viruses are detected do the following:
Show Results > Remove All > Restart

download this to a flash drive and install it on his computer

sounds a nasty virus like. if all else fails there is only 1 thing to do...reinstall windows but dont connect wirelessly ok hook pc up to the ethernet and it should dl ok. do you know the name of this virus or what is happening on the screen like any clues on what prog name was
