Windows 8 App ideas needed
Microsoft Ireland is running a offer where any Irish developer who submits 4 apps (Have to be unique, useful apps, not fart buttons and the like) to the Windows Store wins a REALLY nice prize.
If you have a great idea, but don't want to / don't know how to make it then post it here! I'll do my very best to make a good looking one as fast as I can.
Hell, any idea will do really... I'm just out of ideas today and time is of the essence, because I'm competing against 600 potential opponents, and there are less than 80 of the prize available .
If I do make your idea, it will be free, no matter what.

Have you not heard of Pixldrop! or do you mean like Fraps?
Edit:
Also Windows 8 Apps only tend to work whist they are visible as Skype for Windows 8 will pause/stop your call if you return to desktop. This mainly happens so you can have more apps open at the same time with no significant performance loss.

re: Windows 8 App ideas needed
You can't windows 8 apps are based around app states. When you switch to desktop mode (the exception here being multi monitors) the app is put into a suspended state. All windows store applications must support these states or else your app cannot be published to the store.

1. You can just either use the share charm for that in general, or PrtSc and paint.
2. I don't think the .NET Framework would let you access hardware like that
3. HAS to be unique.
4. Not too sure on how to put a game into an app.
I'll see if I can do a snake game, I need to get windows 8 first though.Last edited by AirBiscuit; 03-01-2013 at 02:48 PM.
