sr2 .exe not working

i just bought a coppy of saints row 2 last night on steam and when i go to play it it does not load it just ses sr2.exe error click to close to program

Make sure all of windows updates are installed then reinstall the game =P tell me if that works

windows wont install the up updates.... im getting error code 464 every time i try installing them

Ive heard of people having this issue with using a controller (360 controller for windows) what operating system are you running xp, vista, win 7, and is it 32 or 64 bit ?

vista 32 bit basic but im not useing any usb ports

ps dont ever buy an emachines d620 they suck.... go with something a bit over 2ghz

ok try right clicking on the saints row 2 exe, then properties, then compatability and check run in compatability mode for windows xp sp3, and also check run as administrator. See if that works
