Xbox 360 question

Hey guys i'm new to modding and before I do it I wanna know something. I've heard you can get banned for using modio and such on XBL, and will I get banned if I use and offline acount to mod? And how many of you guys have got banned for modding on xbox? please help im not sure what to do...
P.S. The only reason im concerned is beacause I dont wanna get me or my borthers account banned for something I did and waste my $60 a year

Any sort of modding can get you banned.

And I for one take those risks. :mg2:

And if you mod with your account which isn't connected to live then yes mod all you like, but don't go on live with that modding account.

Okay sounds good and just to be clear: If you get banned on XBL does your console get banned or anly your account?

Just your account with the mods will be banned from XBL.

If you're caught system tampering or repeating offenses then you run up the risk of a console ban.

So If i mod dungeon defenders with an offline account then log on with another online account then trade the offline accounts modded items and get caught my offline account could get banned?

Yea, the offline account could get banned, but it all depends if you get caught or not.
