the red one shouldn't be a problem, use flux.

And B, I recommend using the ALT point found here-

I use the ALT point for every install, just use the Blue wire from the slim wires that come with the coolrunner and cut it.

Yes, the orange wire that came with it is too short to use for the alt point so they used a a different wire. Use the blue wire that came with the Slim set of wire and just cut it to size.
