Windows 8 Release Preview
Microsoft have just released: Windows 8 Release Preview (this is a evaualtion copy of there final release)
Download: Download Windows 8 Release Preview
This is the newest version of Windows 8 and will probably not change (I can only presume) before the release later this year (I exspect).
More Info:
Windows 8 Release Preview Setup will check to see if your PC can runWindows 8 Release Preview and select the right download. Setup also features a compatibility report and upgrade assistance. Make sure your devices are connected to your PC and turned on before you run Setup. Built-in tools for creating an ISO or bootable flash drive are available for some previous versions of Windows (excluding Windows XP and earlier). You can find system requirements and additional information in theFAQ and in the links on this page.
Note before you download: Windows 8 Release Preview is prerelease software that may be substantially modified before it’s commercially released. Microsoft makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the information provided here. Some product features and functionality may require additional hardware or software.
Important Warning: If you decide to go back to your previous operating system, you'll need to reinstall it from the recovery or installation media that came with your PC, which is typically DVD media. If you don’t have recovery media, you might be able to create it from a recovery partition on your PC using software provided by your PC manufacturer. Check the support section of your PC manufacturer’s website for more information. After you install Windows 8, you won’t be able to use the recovery partition on your PC to go back to your previous version ofWindows.
Edit:
ISO Downloads are found here: Windows 8 Release Preview ISO formats

Re: Windows 8 Release Preview
Both Tablets and PC can run it but there is one version especially for Tablets but you can only get that one from buying the hardware. If you have a touch screen monitor you will benefit from the Windows 8 experience but otherwise a keyboard and mouse will work fine.

Re: Windows 8 Release Preview
If you buy/brought a Windows 7 PC after June 2011 they are offering a very cheap upgrade option for only $15 witch is a very good insentive for some people. I personally will be running a Dual Boot option witch will allow me to use both OS's simultaneously which is another option you could consider if you have enough space to run 2 side by side. However this option is a problem for none tec savy people and will require some understanding and a lot of research for some people so do your homework on it first because you don't want to loss anything valuable.
