Default Xbox 360 Reset Glitch Hack - Explained

Since people still can't make out how this hack works, I made this thread:

Many people may be thinking what is this new Reset Glitch Hack for the Xbox 360. Well basically you can run unsigned code on current kernels for Zephyr, Jasper and Trinty consoles.

    How does the hack work?

A full document was made on this by the creators: http://pastebin.com/gDLyZ6DU

Since it's a hardware modification it is unpatchable, this means Microsoft can't patch this through a system update.

You may be wondering what can do with this Reset Glitch Hack at this current moment in time. Well, here is a video showing what can be done:

As you can see, we can currently boot into XeLL and run emulators.

Now you may be asking but how do I run my modded xex's? Well currently there is no rebooter for the Reset Glitch Hack currently so you can't right now. But hopefully there will be one soon. Check http://libxenon.org for the latest news on one.

Now you know everything you may want to do the Reset Glitch Hack. Tutorials and downloads are in the link below:

If you want to install XeLL Reloaded onto your console grab it from here: http://shares.deany95.com/news/?p=1628

Another useful tool was made by bestpig. Since the Reset Glitch Hack requires the creation of a ECC file based on the dump of your NAND. Here is a GUI for that: http://shares.deany95.com/news/?p=1630

This thread will be updated as more information is found. I just made this thread to put all info into one thread. I'll update it later, this thread was made quickly.

    About the "unpatchable" thing:
Its only fully unpatchable on Trinity´s, they COULD also make it unpatchable on Jasper´s (by "just" converting the Slim hack), but its not done yet.
